About the Owner
Hi! My name is Melody Herrin. I attended massage therapy school at Midwest Academy
of Healing Arts in Brownsburg, IN, taking 500 hours of massage and anatomy. I am a graduate of Cascade High School
and University of Indianapolis with a degree in Psychology. I grew up just outside of Amo. I am proud to say that
my dad was Joe Herrin and he was a 25 year resident of Clayton. He served on the Town Board until his death in 2005. My
mom is Marlene Raisor. She has worked at Soil and Water Conservation in Danville for over 20 years. My dream was to return
to my community after many years of working in Indianapolis and Carmel. Being able to provide a service like this,
to the community I lived some of the best years of my life in, is wonderful and a great way to spend the rest of
my career. The help and support I have received from old friends would never happen in a big city.
I provide a therapeutic massage, which changes from client to client depending on their needs. I may use one or
more of the following techniques. Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point, stretching, reflexology, muscle stripping,
contrast therapy (hot/cold), ice and/or heat as needed, and Reiki. I am continually taking additional training, to be able
to offer the best therapy to each client.
In November 2007, I received the designation, Reiki Master.
